Mr Tan Kian Hoon
Chairman

Mr. Tan Kian Hoon is a highly respected figure in Singapore’s real estate and construction industry, with over 40 years of experience spanning the full spectrum of the built environment. As Chairman of Newman SRE, he brings a wealth of knowledge, having held leadership roles across the public, private, and association sectors. His career journey includes roles as quantity surveyor, developer, project manager, turn-key contractor, and real estate consultant on both local and international projects.
He has served as Past President of the Singapore Contractors Association and Deputy Chairman of the Building and Construction Authority (BCA), and held regional leadership roles including Chairman of the ASEAN Constructors' Federation and President of the International Federation of Asian & Western Pacific Contractors Association (IFAWPCA).
At Newman SRE, Mr. Tan fosters a strong culture of governance, professionalism, and service integrity. His leadership is grounded in industry know-how and a deep commitment to people—ensuring that both clients and employees are supported by robust systems, practical guidance, and a shared commitment to excellence.
Currently, Mr. Tan serves as Honorary Secretary and Fellow of the Association of Property & Facility Managers (APFM), Member of the Strata Titles Board, and Chairman of the National Council on Problem Gambling. He remains a respected voice in the industry and a mentor to the next generation.
Mr Mark Tham M K
Strategic Advisor

Mark Tham brings over 25 years of real estate experience and serves as a key strategic advisor at Newman SRE. A graduate of the National University of Singapore, he holds both a Bachelor of Science (Honours) and a Master of Science in Real Estate. Mark is also a licensed appraiser for Land and Building, with a strong track record in valuation, investment advisory, and estate management.
Having started his career as a Property Manager overseeing HDB and HUDC properties, Mark later joined Newman & Goh in 1995, where he played a pivotal role in developing the firm’s valuation capabilities. He has led and supervised complex valuation projects for HDB, JTC, and a wide range of private and institutional clients across local and international markets.
Beyond technical work, Mark provides strategic guidance on en-bloc and collective sales, advising owners’ committees through feasibility studies and structured sales planning. His ability to bridge policy understanding, market dynamics, and client priorities makes him a trusted voice in the industry.
Today, Mark’s role extends beyond advisory—he actively mentors the next generation of professionals at Newman SRE. Through his leadership, he focuses on nurturing a strong, capable team that upholds professionalism, integrity, and service excellence across all aspects of estate and valuation services.
Mr Chng Shih Hian
Senior Executive Director
Shih Hian is the Executive Director at Newman SRE, where he leads the Property Valuation, Consultancy, and Asset Management division. A licensed appraiser with deep domain knowledge, he oversees a multidisciplinary team responsible for delivering accurate, timely, and strategic valuation advice across a full range of asset types—including residential, commercial, industrial, and hospitality properties.
With years of specialised experience, Shih Hian plays a critical role in guiding clients through valuation and advisory work for a wide variety of purposes: financing, acquisition, financial reporting, taxation, share transfer, IPO preparation, and internal decision-making. His team regularly supports banks, developers, owners, and corporate clients, offering both technical precision and market insights to ensure sound outcomes.
In addition to overseeing day-to-day valuation activities, Shih Hian leads the firm’s research initiatives and development consultancy projects, helping clients navigate complex land use, feasibility, and redevelopment strategies with clarity and confidence.
Known for his disciplined work ethic and collaborative leadership style, Shih Hian fosters a culture of accountability and professional excellence within his department. Mr Eugene Tham
Executive Director, Valuation
Eugene is a senior leader in the Valuation & Advisory team at Newman SRE, bringing over 18 years of experience in real estate valuation, appraisal, and investment consultancy. With a deep operational understanding of valuation processes, Eugene oversees key mandates with precision and consistency, ensuring the team delivers high-quality, compliant, and timely reports that meet the evolving needs of clients and financial institutions. His experience spans a wide range of asset classes—including residential, commercial, industrial, and mixed-use developments—across both local and international markets. He has managed investment appraisal and feasibility studies for projects across Southeast Asia, China, Cambodia, and Africa, giving him a strong regional perspective and cross-border expertise.
Eugene is also well-versed in government land acquisition, property taxation, and sale and purchase advisory. His ability to distil complex information into practical, actionable advice makes him a trusted voice among developers, owners, and institutional investors.
Known for his direct and dependable approach, Eugene is widely regarded as the go-to person for clients seeking valuation insights grounded in real-world experience. Mr Darren Cheng

Darren Cheng brings over 15 years of experience in the property and real estate industry, combining operational depth with strategic business insight. A graduate of Oxford Brookes University with an Honours Degree in Real Estate Management, Darren’s career spans both frontline estate management and business development roles across multinational corporations—equipping him with a balanced perspective that blends ground realities with strategic planning.
At Newman SRE, Darren plays a key leadership role in driving operational excellence and service consistency across a growing portfolio of residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments. He works closely with estate councils, developers, and key stakeholders within the built environment to strengthen communication, resolve complex issues, and deliver tailored, outcome-driven solutions for Management Corporation Strata Titles (MCSTs).
Darren is known for his customer-first approach, taking time to understand the evolving needs of each estate and fostering strong relationships based on trust, responsiveness, and reliability. His operational oversight extends beyond day-to-day performance to long-term planning, team capability building, and service innovation.

Mr Stanley Chin

With over a decade of experience in the real estate and facilities management sector, Stanley Chin leads Newman SRE’s digital transformation efforts with a strong focus on governance, service accountability, and long-term value creation. He holds a Professional MBA from Nanyang Technological University, where he was awarded the Nanyang Productivity Leader Scholarship and recognised as the Top PMBA Student on the Dean’s Honours List.
At Newman SRE, Stanley led the development of FMDash, a digital platform that improves operational visibility, streamlines workflows, and enhances reporting transparency. His leadership reflects a deep commitment to leveraging technology for better decision-making, regulatory compliance, and consistent service delivery.
Stanley actively supports MCSTs in transitioning toward Integrated Facilities Management (IFM), helping them consolidate services, optimise resources, and engage more effectively with service providers. Beyond technology, he advocates for performance-based, sustainable practices that raise service quality while creating meaningful opportunities to upskill workers—ensuring that operational improvements also support workforce development and dignity.
He is a Certified Property and Facilities Manager (CPFM), PDPA certified, and holds diplomas in business, facility management, and interactive new media. Stanley brings a strategic yet grounded approach to leadership, focused on building future-ready estates that balance innovation, governance, and inclusive growth.

Renowned for his hands-on approach to staff management, Daud fosters a collaborative and high-performing team environment dedicated to delivering exceptional service. He excels in managing properties for both developers and Management Corporation Strata Titles (MCSTs), demonstrating expertise in defects management, streamlined daily operations, and the seamless execution of Annual and Extraordinary General Meetings (AGMs and EGMs).
Daud’s comprehensive knowledge of the Building Maintenance & Strata Management Act (BMSMA) makes him an invaluable resource for Council members and Management Corporations, providing insightful guidance and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Mr Leow Chua Mong

He holds an Advanced Diploma in Building Services Engineering and a Diploma in Electrical Engineering, along with certifications as an ECO, GMFM, and Water Efficiency Manager, complemented by BCA and APFM/SISV qualifications in strata and managing agent practices.

Judith Lee brings over a decade of experience in property and strata management, with a proven ability to oversee residential estates, streamline site operations, and foster long-term client relationships. Her strengths lie in project coordination, contract management, and team supervision, where she ensures that service delivery remains consistent, responsive, and aligned with estate objectives.
Judith holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Deakin University and has completed key industry certifications, including the Certificate in Managing Agent Practice and the Legislation Course for Managing Agents. Her grounding in statutory knowledge and regulatory compliance enables her to manage complex estate matters with clarity and confidence.
Complementing her operational expertise, Judith has received professional training in data protection and design thinking—skills that enhance her ability to manage modern estate challenges and stakeholder expectations in a rapidly evolving environment.
